The first leaves are starting to fall in Paris and autumn is slowly taking over summer. I won’t complain about that cause I love every season at the time it comes and we’re enjoying a pleasant Indian summer in Paris that allows us to wear light dresses and sandals.
That’s exactly what I went for here, the t-shirt dress is as comfy as PJ’s, yet school/work material and I love how I can dress it down with a pair of sneakers or dress it up with high heels. Those ones got kind of a success on Instagram and I find them truly flattering for my tiny ankle. The malachite print on the front rings a particular bell to me since when I was younger my dad used to travel a lot due to his work in the French Army and one day he brought back necklaces made out of malachite pearls in these deep green shades which I never forget. So when I saw them I got filled with one of the most powerful feeling in the world: Nostalgia. The outfit remains pretty simple as usual (maybe I should stop saying that lol) but I love how the dress leaves full attention to the shoes. I’m not even carrying a bag but a magazine cause that’s something I always love taking with me. I don’t read French press that much (appart from the September issue of Vogue Paris) but prefer UK/US ones. Their approach is very different from the French one which is very enriching and that’s the occasion to learn a lot of vocabulary. That’s actually one of the reasons why I can speak English today, I’ve got little notebooks filled with English vocabulary that I find in fashion magazines, blog, etc. Those I read the most are Elle UK, Porter, Harper’s Bazaar US and some foreign versions of Vogue and L’officiel. If you’re interested, these can be found in Paris as WH Smiths, Publicis Store and sometimes regular newsstands. Unfortunately I don’t have enough time lately to read books so I settle for magazines that are by the way very instagramable! Tell me about your favorite magazines so I can possibly discover some new ones! Bisous.
