It seems like I’ve got a thing with changing the use of clothes, cause once more I turned a jacket into a dress. I just couldn’t miss this occasion to restyle that piece from the SS16 Gauchère show in my own way.
The line of that dress reminds me of the New Look style created by Christian Dior in the 40’s but in a more casual interpretation with those sharp edges. As I grow up I tend to enjoy dressing like a woman more often but still wanna keep that effortless touch that defines my style. That effortless side is said to be a typical Parisian thing and I think I jumped in it since I moved in Paris 4 years ago. When I compose a daily outfit I choose simple master pieces first and then add texture and details without reaching the over-coordinated point. I mean, I hate when the idea behind an outfit is too obvious, it takes all the style off. For example I would never coordinate my shoes with my handbag, jewels or make-up. Another trick: If my look is too slick I take something off or let my hair wild to destroy a bit the flawless effect. I hope you’re not sick of the denim overload you witnessed lately on my blog and see you soon for another post! Bisous.
