Reflection

My love for plaid shirts lately found a new impulse since I can pick some in my boyfriend’s closet now! And that’s exactly what happenned here with this thick kaki one. To balance the tomboy effect I paired it with some killer booties and skinny jeans. The post-rain reflecting ground created a pleasant atmosphere and that’s typically the type of weather that keeps my mind awaken and I have to say that’s a good thing since I’ll have to write a speech very soon for my diploma gala ceremony.

This speech got me really stressed lately but is also a real honor since it marks the fact that I ended major of my Bachelor diploma. Achievement and success are two things we all run after, impulsed by this incredible and confusing strenght called hope. It seems to me that hope is the gaz that keeps everything together, individually in our lives and in a wider dimension in the world in general. Meaning, even though everything seems to be messed up we carry on cause we know that better times are coming. This is exactly what I’ve been through when I was younger and no matter how hard life was sometimes I’m deeply proud of not having given up when I was so close to do so. Today when I see my reflection in the mirror, I see a woman (well ok, a girl) empowered by her past mistakes and injuries, ready to handle whatever life throws at her face. I really wish I could meet the Education Minister and suggest her to replace technology lessons (let’s face it they are useless) by self confidence sessions where children would learn about themselves and get armed for the future. Vote for me at the next presidential elections! Bisous.
