Walking on a Line

I recently realized that I have a thing with “maxi-pieces” like this dress and this vest that I’m wearing. They are beyond alluring and eye-catching and I feel like they make me look older. My age is a tricky issue since I’ve always looked younger than I really was which can be a problem when it comes to being taken seriously. So I take it as an excuse to add this kind of pieces to my wardrobe and I have to say that my black maxi-dresses collection is getting large (as well as my black boots collection but that’s another point we’ll discuss later…). I thought it would be nice to match the shades of the outfit with those in the background and Autumn trees definitely nailed it!

Needless to say that it was a bit risky to shoot on a road nearby the Champs Elysées but when I see the result I think it was worth it. We took the pictures late in the afternoon when the sun starts to go down to get an intricate light which is uterly Halloween material. I don’t know about the usages in your country but here in France almost nobody celebrates Halloween anymore and I think that’s a shame. There is something special about this time of the year on which we should dwell for a moment instead of jumping directly to the Christmas whole thing, I mean I’m not ready for that yet! I’m going to my parent’s home next week-end (mainly for a great reason you’ll be noticed about later ^^) and I love the fact that I’ll be surrounded by nature to really feel the Halloween vibes around. Let me know about your stand on this point cause I’d like to know if I’ll be the only one to put a candle in a pumpkin in a few days! Bisous.
