Do you remember that time when a friend made you realize how great one of your toys was while you had totally lost any interest for it over the years?! That’s exactly what happened to me watching Kristian Bazan’s Snapchat story yesterday when she was enjoying a simple walk in the streets of Paris. I won’t hazard writing a poem about how wonderful Paris is (many singers already nailed this point) but I’m just so thankful to wake up every morning in such a magical place. This post doesn’t have a lot to do with my usual outfit shoots and everything to do with a set of pictures taken on the spot during a morning walk with my friend Méryl.
On the way to a beautiful café in the 1st arrondissement we stopped for some pictures on a bridge when a bearded tourist suddenly sprang up next to me asking his wife to take photos of us! I’ll never know what came over him but it was a funny moment and the idea I might appear in their “Paris trip scrapbook” makes me joyful. Parisian people have an ambivalent relationship with tourists since we always complain about them but are beyond proud to know they travel the entire world to admire the vivid museum we call Paris and go shopping (I’ll spare you the refrain about how important they are for the French economy because I guess it’s not what you scrolled here for!). Anyway, through this post I wanted to share a bit of the Paris life sweetness I enjoy every day since I moved there, and hope it makes you wanna come and say “Bonjour”, I swear we’ll be kind! Bisou.
